According to Aiko, it is not worth it for her to fight with her friends and loved ones over politicians.

She urged the public to learn to respect people who have different beliefs and preferences in politics. The actress also prayed to God to give healing to the country and to let love reign among its people.

“Hays…. Kahit sino naman ang maupo or supportahan naten o manalo man o hindi ang manok naten, titigil ba tayo sa kakareklamo? Hindi di ba?
“Kaya me electoral process so we could exercise our right to vote and choose wisely. But to let it affect our friendship over politics? Hmm not worth it. Respect each other views as I respect yours. Lord God heal our Country! Let your Love reign,” Aiko wrote on Instagram.

Aiko Melendez is a popular showbiz personality in the Philippines. In 2018, she won the Best Supporting Actress award for the movie, “Rainbow’s Sunset.” In 2001, Aiko ran for councilor in the city elections in Quezon City and won. She became Councilor of the 2nd District of Quezon City and remained in office for 9 years until 2010.

As reported earlier by KAMI, Aiko Melendez revealed that she will be leaving Prima Donnas as she is entering the world of politics again. Aiko was the councilor of the 2nd District of Quezon City for nine years. According to Aiko, she studied very hard during her time as a counselor and managed to pass laws that helped people. She also emphasized that during the 9 years she served as a councilor, there was no issue about any corruption.

Meanwhile, Aiko was pitied by her good friend, Ogie Diaz, after he revealed that the actress received a death threat for pursuing politics. According to Ogie, the competitors of Aiko in the area seemed to be threatened by the actress's presence. At one point, Ogie said that when it comes to the world of politics, it is expected to always get dirty.
