Carlo Aquino could not help but feel sad over his supposed role in Netflix's hit Korean series, Squid Game which was directed by Hwang Dong-Hyuk.

In one of his recent Instagram stories, KAMI learned that the 36-year-old-actor reposted a photo he took back in 2020.

The said photo was that of a handwritten note he received from Hwang Dong-Hyuk who said he was "looking forward to working with you."

Finally, Carlo broke his silence about the said letter online and revealed that it was "supposedly a role for #SquidGame."

Beatrice Candaza, the sister of Trina Candaza, also reposted the actor's story and recalled how Trina mentioned they would be in Korea for a few months.

"@jose_liwanag was supposed to play a role in #SquidGame but travel restrictions happened. I remember @trinacandaza calling me and saying that they'll stay in Korea for a few months back in 2020. I'm sure there would be more opportunities!"

Meanwhile, Trina also expressed her support for her partner, Carlo, after reposting her sister's Instagram story in her account.
