Paolo Contis recently opened up about his Netflix movie with actress Yen Santos entitled “A Faraway Land,” according to The Philippine Star.

KAMI learned that during his interview, Paolo shared his opinion on what constitutes a strong and ideal marriage.
The actor believes that race should not play a factor in the success or failure of a marriage. Instead, Paolo believes that having true love, being understanding, and being willing to make sacrifices are the important elements in a marriage.
He said that if those vital elements are lacking, a married person would end up like Majhoy – the lead female character in his movie. In the movie, Mahjoy – played by Yen Santos – had an unhappy marriage with her foreigner husband because she was always looking at the negative things in their relationship.

“I always believe that marriage is not about race.
“It has to be about love, understanding and a lot of sacrifice.
“I believe that if may kulang dun, matutulad kayo kay Majhoy… matutulad kayo kay Majhoy na makikita kung ano yung kulang, kung ano yung mali,” Paolo said.
This interview was published today by The Philippine Star, days after his ex-girlfriend LJ Reyes revealed to Boy Abunda that she and Paolo broke up because the latter’s behavior changed for the worse, as reported by the Manila Bulletin.
Rappler also reported about LJ’s interview with Boy, particularly about the actress being the one to formally end her romance with Paolo, which contradicted Lolit Solis’s claim that the breakup was mutual.
Paolo Contis is a Filipino actor and comedian of Italian descent who appeared in his acting debut as a child actor in the ABS-CBN show "Ang TV". He was born on March 14, 1984. Contis is half-Italian (from his father) and half-Filipino (from his mother). He was a popular child actor where he already appeared in various movies during the mid-1990s. Despite being cast in the popular teleserye "Mara Clara", Contis was better known for being part of the primetime sitcom "Oki Doki Doc". He has won several awards, particularly at the PMPC Star Awards. His celebrity ex-girlfriends include Lian Paz and LJ Reyes.
