Cai Cortez took to Instagram and asked for prayers for her father, veteran actor Rez Cortez.

The Kapuso actress revealed that her father is suspected of having liver cancer.
He will be undergoing an operation to remove the mass.
The actress said that she believes that her father is strong and the love that his father has for his grandchildren will help him recover faster.

She also said that she knows prayers and well-wishes will be able to speed things up.
"Please help us pray for daddy's successful surgery. Dad has suspected liver cancer and he will be undergoing surgery tomorrow to remove the mass," the Kapuso star wrote on IG.
"I believe that daddy is strong and his love for his apos will help him recover in no time, but I also know that our prayers and well wishes can help speed things up," said Cai.
Cai Cortez is a Filipino actor and is with GMA-7. On the other hand, her father, Rez Cortez is a veteran actor. He is a very versatile actor wherein he can take on the role of the good guy or a complete villain.
One of the most recent teleseryes that Cai did was "First Yaya" where she starred alongside Sanya Lopez, Gabby Concepcion and Cacai Bautista. On the set, Cai and the rest would often do TikTok videos. They would even convince veteran actress Pilar Pilapil to join them.
Previously, Rez Cortez attended his late friend Eddie Garcia’s wake. Cortez said that he was saddened by Garcia’s death, which was caused by an injury he sustained while filming an action scene. The actor explained what could be done to prevent those kinds of accidents.
