Irene, the sister of Mahal, revealed in a Facebook post that the cause of death of her sister is COVID-19. She said that there is no schedule yet for the burial of the comedienne due to COVID-19 restrictions. Mahal recently visited her long-time onscreen "partner" Mura and even signified that she would be helping him. She was also affected by the situation of Mura and said that she will be helping him.
