Mariel Padilla featured her husband, Robin Padilla, on her popular vlog on YouTube.
KAMI learned that in the said vlog episode, Mariel said that she knew that Robin was “the one” for her once they got to know each other well.
“Naniniwala kasi ako doon sa saying na ‘when you know, you know.’ When the one comes, you will now,” Mariel shared.
Robin, who was imprisoned for a few years in the ‘90s for illegal possession of firearms, then asked Mariel why she trusted an ex-convict.

“Bakit ka naman naniwala sa ex-convict?” Robin asked.
Mariel explained that she never saw him as a bad boy or an ex-convict. According to her, what she saw in Robin is his sweet and compassionate heart for other people.
“Never kita nakita as ex-convict, sa totoo lang.
“I never saw you as a bad boy. Ang nakita ko sa’yo was you had a soft heart,” Mariel explained.
Mariel Padilla is a popular actress and host in the Philippines. The actress became even more successful after launching her own YouTube vlog. She is married to action star Robin Padilla, with whom she has two children – Isabella and Gabriela.
Last year, Mariel went viral for expressing her support for employees of the Kapamilya network after ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal was rejected by Congress. For this reason, many netizens praised her for bravely voicing out her opinion.
Mariel Padilla’s husband, Robin Padilla, has also made known his position, saying that he wants the network to be reformed but he does not want it to get shut down. He made the statement after it was assumed by some people that he wants ABS-CBN to get shut down since he is a vocal supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte.
