Korina Sanchez took to Instagram to defend Pinoy boxing legend, Manny Pacquiao, against those who throw negative talks after his loss to Cuban fighter, Yordenis Ugas.
Manny lost to Ugas in a unanimous decision that might possibly become his last.
After the decision was announced, many Pinoys still congratulated Manny and encouraged him to retire as he has nothing anymore to prove, having been a champion in 8 different weight divisions and the only one to do so.
There were some, however, who chose to engage in negative talks, saying that all sorts of insults ranging from Manny’s age to his political career.

It might be because of this that Korina took to Instagram and defended the achievement of Manny, as well as the honor he brought to the Philippines and the Filipinos.
He also was able to do such singlehandedly from practically nothing.
“Whatever negativity you might have to say: Fact is, Manny Pacquiao—- from NOTHING—- singlehandedly put the Philippines and the Filipinos on the world map under one of the brightest lights possible,” Korina said in her post showing the boxing legend carrying the Philippine flag.
She also praised the courage, discipline and patriotism of the fighting senator in going through all the difficulties in order to win for his country for so many years.
“What discipline. What courage. What patriotism to go through all that for a win for his country through all these years,” Korina wrote in her post.
At the end of her post, the popular broadcaster assured the Pinoy boxing legend that no matter what happens, he will always be the country’s champion.
“Always our Champ. Manny Pacquiao,” Korina said in her post.

Manny Pacquiao is an eight-division world boxing champion, considered one of the greatest boxers in history. He also found success as a politician, first becoming a congressman before getting elected as a senator.
Manny Pacquiao lost to Yordenis Ugas in their WBA welterweight championship yesterday. Several Filipino celebrities reacted to Manny’s upset loss to the Cuban boxer. Kris Aquino revealed that she cried while watching Manny apologizing for his performance. Bianca Gonzales told Manny that he has nothing left to prove as one of the greatest boxers in history. Gerald Anderson showed respect to Manny, posting that the Filipino icon is still his champion despite losing to Ugas.
Mommy Dionisia has accepted that her son was defeated by Yordenis Ugas. She said that it is quite natural that someone would lose and someone would win, whenever there is a fight.
