Kyla was recently dragged into a controversial issue regarding transgender weightlifter, Laurel Hubbard. The singer was tagged in a tweet that showed an alleged negative comment from her Facebook account regarding the said athlete competing in the women's over-87-kilogram division weightlifting event at the Olympics.
A netizen immediately responded to the tweet and opined that Kyla is not someone who will comment on such a topic and further speculated that the singer's social media account might have been hacked.
Kyla confirmed that she was not the one who posted the comment and explained that she has never engaged in such behavior nor will she do so in the future.
"Can we check who’s answering on that article? Baka na hack ang page. I’ve never engaged on things like that, ever. Not before, not now, and never in the future."
The netizen who defended the singer told her that someone has already tried to check Kyla's Facebook page but was not able to access the account's activity log.
Nevertheless, Kyla thanked the netizen for his effort in clearing her name regarding the incident.

She sent a message to “baby Millie,” telling her to watch over her, her husband Rich Alvarez, and her eldest child Toby. Kyla also told Millie to send hugs and kisses to her two siblings in heaven, as she suffered two miscarriages in 2018.
