Lyca Gairanod is gaining praises on social media after she gave assistance to a female senior citizen named Ising, who collect scraps and trade them to junkshops for a living.

According to a vlog she posted on YouTube, Lyca bought grocery items and fruits for Nanay Ising.
“May nakita po akong matanda. Kitang-kita ko po sa kanya 'yung ginagawa ko nu’ng bata pa ako,” Lyca said in the vlog.
“Kaso iba nga lang kami ng story, kasi matanda na siya, e. Ako, medyo bata pa, kaya medyo okay sa akin.”
The “The Voice Kids PH 2014” champion likewise shared how seeing Nanay Ising’s hardship broke her heart.
“Pero siya kasi, nu’ng nakita ko siya, talagang ‘yung parang nabiyak yung puso ko. Alam mo 'yung nararamdaman ko nu'ng nangangalakal pa ako.”
The singer then personally visited Nanay Ising’s house to hand over the said goods.

Lyca Gairanod, born on November 21, 2004, is a child singer who won the first The Voice Kids Philippines in 2014. She was able to defeat other young singers like Darren Espanto and JK Labajo. Her story has inspired many people since she used to be extremely poor before finding success as a singer.
Recently, Lyca had another life achievement at the age of 16. The singer took to social media and posted a photo of her and her “new baby”. It was a brand new car which is another fruit of the young celebrity’s hard work.
In a previous report by KAMI, Lyca showed on her vlog one of the fruits of her labor – a house for her family. According to Lyca, her house is not big and luxurious but it is enough for her and her family. She also visited her childhood house in Tanza, Cavite, where she grew up before even joining the singing competition.
