- He also said that he had nothing to do with it and that it was "upon instructions of the President"
- Panelo stated that it was not actually his intention to hurt the feelings of the Olympian
Salvador Panelo issued an apology to Hidilyn Diaz for hurting her feelings.
He categorically stated that he had nothing to do with the controversial matrix, except that he just presented it upon the instructions of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte.
"Madaling mag-apologize kung mali ang ginawa mo. Pero kung wala ka namang ginawa... anong ginawa ko?" he said in ANC's interview.
Nevertheless, he said sorry for hurting Diaz's feelings.
Panelo reasoned that the matrix was only meant to show people who were supposedly affiliated with the one who shared the controversial "Bikoy" videos.
"I just presented the matrix na wala naman akong kinalaman upon the instructions of the President, just present it to the public... But I'm sorry. I'm sad to know na nasaktan ko si Hidilyn."
"Kawawa naman. Pero, I'm tellign Hidilyn if she's watching, hindi naman yun ang intensyon palagay ko nung mga gumawa ng matrix. Isinama lang ang pangalan mo kasi fan ka pala nung involved."
