Angel Locsin revealed in an interview that while she did not finish school, she understands the importance of graduating and bringing home a diploma.

The actress was the special guest of Matteo Guidicelli in his podcast called “MattRuns” and they were talking about how Angel sees herself several years from now.

She said that she liked to think she would have her own family by then and also have kids.

Matteo then asked Angel if she and her partner, Neil Arce, would allow their kids to enter showbiz.

The actress said she might but she would still emphasize to them the importance of education and that they should prioritize their studies.

“Kasi hindi ako graduate eh. Alam ko kung gaano kaimportante ‘yung pag-aaral,” Angel said.

She then went on to say that while she was able to achieve some things as an actress, it’s different if one has a diploma.

“Alam kong may mga achievements ako pero iba pa rin talaga ‘yung may diploma ka. Pwede mo iyon dalahin kahit nasaan ka. Hindi ‘yun mananakaw sa iyo,” the actress said.

Angelica Locsin Colmenares, better known as Angel Locsin, is a Filipino TV and movie actress, commercial model, film producer, as well as fashion designer. She was born on April 23, 1985 in Santa Maria, Bulacan, Philippines. She rose to fame for her TV role as Alwina in the fantaseries Mulawin, and lateron as superheroine Darna. Angel was with GMA Network up to 2007 until she moved to rival ABS-CBN. She starred as Lyka in the network’s TV series Lobo, earning her an International Emmy Award nomination for her performance. She also appeared in various films like In the Name of Love and One More Try. She gained critical acclaim for her performances in both movies.

One of the best attribute of Angel that many like is her humility. In a separate interview with Over a Glass or Two, the hosts talked about the time that ABS-CBN ceased operations. Angel said that all of them did fight for ABS-CBN and her efforts might have been highlighted because she is an actress. She emphasized that all of them have given great effort in defending the network, as well as in helping others.

In that particular interview with Over a Glass or Two, Angel also revealed that she auditioned at ABS-CBN at the time that Heart Evangelista was also auditioning. In the end, it was Heart Evangelista who was chosen. Despite not having been chosen, she still remained positive and was thankful that she got to stand beside John.
