Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III died on June 24 at the age of 61 due to his battle with renal disease.
KAMI learned that clips and photos from his wake have gone viral online, touching the hearts of many Filipinos across the nation.
Senator Joel Villanueva shared photos from last night’s wake. Some of the pics show his interaction with actress-host Kris Aquino, the youngest sibling of the late former president.

Aquino’s cremated remains are currently in the Church of the Gesu at the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU). The public are allowed to visit his remains in the said chapel today, June 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. In a video taken from the chapel, ordinary netizens and public figures are seen paying their respects to Aquino.

Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III was the 15th President of the Philippines. The late former President Corazon Aquino and the late senator Ninoy Aquino were his parents. Noynoy was admired by many people for his reputation as an incorrupt politician.
Former Pres. Benigno Aquino III was rushed to the hospital Thursday morning, June 24. According to reports, the former president was brought to the Capitol Medical Center in Quezon City.
Hours later, it was confirmed by a family member of Aquino that he has passed away at the age of 61. Aquino was undergoing dialysis months before his death. He also had a heart operation recently.
