The family of former President Noynoy Aquino has given their official statement on the passing of the 15th President of the Philippines.
In an almost 4-minute live statement, the eldest among the Aquino sisters revealed the cause of death of PNoy, narrated his battles, and highlighted how he bravely fought accusations.
"Masakit po para sa amin na tahimik niyang tinanggap ang mga batikos... Nang sinabihan namin siyang magsalita, at labanan ang maling haka-haka. Simple lamang ang sagot niya sa amin, kaya pa niyang matulog sa gabi,"
"Sandiganbayan November 2017, Senado noong December 2017, at Kongreso noong February 2018. Because when you enter public service, when you serve with honesty and dignity, and you know you have committed no crime against the people, hindi ka matatakot magsabi ng totoo."

Aquino was the 15th President of the Philippines. He ran for office after the death of his mother former Pres. Cory Aquino. His "Daang Matuwid" was the slogan of his term.

Former Pres. Noynoy Aquino died at the age of 61 on June 24, Thursday. He was rushed to the hospital but later died for still an undisclosed reason. A report from Rappler revealed that the former President has recently undergone a heart operation. He has also been battling various illnesses and had undergone dialysis for five months.
Vice President Leni Robredo expressed her grief over the passing of Former President Noynoy Aquino. Robredo stated that it has broken her heart upon learning that PNoy has passed. According to Robredo, Noynoy tried to do what was right, even though that it was not popular. She also said that Noynoy was silent but untiring when it comes to working to help many Filipinos.
