Aquino family delivers statement; says Noynoy died of renal failure

Pinky Aquino-Abellada, sister of former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, has delivered their family’s message on her brother’s death.

In a statement on June 24, Pinky confirmed the heartbreaking news together with her sisters, Ballsy, Viel and Kris.
“It is with profound grief that on behalf of our family, I am confirming that our brother, Benigno ‘Noynoy’ S. Aquino III, died peacefully in his sleep,” she said.
Pinky also publicized in front of media reporters the late politician’s cause of death.
“His death certificate pronounced his death at 6:30 a.m. due to renal disease secondary to diabetes.”

Former President Benigno "Noynoy" S. Aquino III was the 15th President of the Philippines. The late former President Corazon Aquino and the late senator Ninoy Aquino were his parents. Noynoy was admired by many people for being an incorrupt politician. He is also the brother of prominent television personality, Kris Aquino, also known as the Queen of All Media.
He was rushed to the hospital on Thursday morning, June 24, 2021 but later on, died. Hours later, it was confirmed by a family member of Aquino that he has passed away. Noynoy was undergoing dialysis months before his death. He also had a heart operation recently.
It was also reported that actress Kris Aquino has arrived at Capitol Medical Center where the former president was hospitalized and died. Kris was spotted in a video rushing into the said hospital but did not give a statement.
