Kris Aquino on Thursday morning arrived at Capitol Medical Center in Quezon City where her brother, former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, was hospitalized and died.

In a video shared by Radyo Pilipinas, the TV personality could be seen rushing into the hospital.

According to GMA News, former Senator Mar Roxas and former Foreign Affairs Secretary Jose Almendras, the late politician’s close allies, were also spotted in the said hospital.

In a report by The Manila Times, Roxas confirmed that the former president has passed away at 61.

"PNoy RIP. [He] was rushed to hospital early this morning and passed after efforts to revive failed. Please pray for him. Salamat,” Roxas said in a statement.

Former Pres. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III was the 15th President of the Philippines. He ran for office after the death of his mother former Pres. Cory Aquino. His "Daang Matuwid" was the slogan of his term. He is also the brother of prominent television personality, Kris Aquino.

In a previous report by KAMI, the said politician died at the age of 61, June 24, Thursday. He also recently had undergone a heart operation. He has also been battling various illnesses and had undergone dialysis for five months.

He was rushed to the hospital on Thursday morning. The reason was not yet disclosed to the public. According to initial reports, the former president was brought to a hospital in Quezon City, particularly the Capitol Medical Center.
