Nadine Lustre recently gave an interview to acclaimed talk show host, Boy Abunda for the latter's YouTube channel, 'The Boy Abunda Talk Channel'.

During the interview, Nadine delved into her thoughts and feelings regarding social media in response to the host's question regarding the said topic.

Nadine responded by saying that interacting with social media is part and parcel of being a celebrity and she uses her online platforms to share things that she believes will benefit other in some way or another.

However, she also admitted that there is a dark side to social media. Nadine opined that it can be toxic because of internet trolls and bashers.

"As much as possible, I don't really deal with the toxicity. It is very toxic, I must admit. There are so many people throwing hate and just saying whatever they want just to bring other people down."

Furthermore, Nadine revealed that while she can take negative criticisms or malicious comments about hersel, she absolutely gets hurt when it is her loved ones who are being attacked by netizens.

"It really hurts me. If it's about me, I don't really care, you can say whatever you want."

She also revealed that she would do just fine without social media but she has to utilize it due to the nature of her work.
