Kevin Clark, who is best known for his role in the hit comedy film, 'School of Rock' has passed away at the age of 32. Kevin was casted to play role of spunky student, Freddie Jones, who was tasked to play percussions in the film which starred Jack Black.

According to a report by Chicago Sun-Times, the professional drummer was riding his bike in Chicago when he was hit by a Hyundai Sonata in the early morning of Wednesday, May 26, 2021.

The actor was brought by paramedics to a nearby hospital but Kevin did not survive. The actor was pronounced dead at 2:04 AM as reported by Variety.

The unnamed 20-year-old motorist who was driving the vehicle that hit the actor has not been arrested but was said to have been given citations according to the police.

Kevin was also a professional percussionist and has recently started a new band. Jack Black who played opposite the actor on the film had penned a heartfelt message to express his condolences.

"Devastating news. Kevin is gone. Way too soon. Beautiful soul. So many great memories. Heartbroken. Sending love to his family and the whole School of Rock community."

His other co-stars have also taken to social media to pay tribute to Kevin and their sympathies for his family. Miranda Cosgrove who became famous after playing the role of Summer in 'School of Rock' also wrote a touching message on Instagram along with a photo of the film's cast.
