BTS unofficially breaks their own record; "Butter" surpasses 24-hour YouTube debut record of "Dynamite"

- BTS just released their new single "Butter" which premiered on YouTube on May 21, 2021

- Their music video was streamed more than 112 million times just 24 hours after its release

- BTS's organized and ever-loyal fandom, ARMY has made it their goal to surpass the 24-hour YouTube debut of BTS's smash hit "Dynamite" which has the highest record until "Butter" was released

- YouTube has yet to release the official number of views as they do not count low-quality streams as part of the official number of views

BTS has done it once again. After their phenomenal hit, "Dynamite", broke record after record, it comes as no surprise that their new single, "Butter" would do just as well if not better.

The septet, composed of members, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, have become a worldwide sensation as their massive fandom ARMY continues to support the K-pop giant.

Officially, "Dynamite" which garnered 101.1 million views 24 hours after it debuted in 2020, remains the highest 24-hour debut record to date. Their newest single "Butter" has unofficially toppled that record after it was streamed more than 112 million times 24 hours after its release on YouTube.

YouTube is known for deducting views from the official count, with some videos losing millions of views due to low-quality streams. YouTube has yet to make an announcement regarding the official 24-hour debut record of "Butter".

For now, ARMYs are celebrating their idols for having another record-breaking title that BTS can add to their ever-growing achievements.
