Jam Magno received backlash for criticizing and insulting Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo. The social media influencer posted that she sleeps well and remains chill despite having lots of bashers. She also pointed out that even if she does not force people to watch her videos and read her posts, many of her bashers have become her followers. Finally, Jam also urged people to focus on more important matters in the country.
She made a disparaging comment regarding Rabiya Mateo after the beauty queen donned a Philippine flag-inspired national costume. The influencer claimed that Rabiya does not know that it is against the law to wear the Philippine flag as a costume. However, the law that Jam mentioned does not apply to Rabiya's costume as she was not wearing the flag. Atty. Tony Roman III explained the law governing the use of the flag and expressed his support for Rabiya.
