Candidates lucky enough to make it to the magic number were from Jamaica, Dominican Republic, India, Peru, Australia, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Brazil.
Former Miss Universe 2015 titleholder Pia Wurtzbach, after recovering from the initial shock, she expressed her love and gratitude to Rabiya in a tweet, calling the latter “Queen.”
“Rabiya we love you! Thank you for pouring your heart for the Philippines. We see your heart Queen!” Pia tweeted.
Beauty queen MJ Lastimosa, who went to Florida with Rabiya for the pageant, expressed her dismay in a post that shouted Rabiya’s name in uppercase accompanied with 19 crying emojis.
Despite what happened, Rabiya is still a winner with the huge outpouring of support and love that many Pinoys manifested online.
It is unclear what’s in store now for Rabiya, though with more than a million followers on Instagram, she’s sure going to have a great future.
