Lolit Solis penned a commentary on the controversy surrounding the community pantry set up by Angel Locsin.

“Sana naman maayos iyon issue ng community pantry ni Angel Locsin, Salve. Wala naman gusto mangyari ito, hindi inaasahan, at talagang nakakalungkot.
“Tutoo na dapat sana lahat ng pantry tahimik lang tulad nuon una sa Maginhawa st. Basta bigla lang naglagay duon ng mesa, may mga goods, sino gusto kumuha, o maglagay, puwede. Tahimik, walang announcement, kaya nuon una hindi magulo.
“Napansin ng mga tao, may mga nagtayong iba sa ibang mga lugar, tahimik parin. Hanggang nabigyan na ng atensiyon, nabalita, nagkaruon na ng issue.
“Ngayon nawala na ang aura nito, hindi na gaya ng dati, sobra na ang haba ng pila, naging medyo delikado na dahil sa safety. Ikinagalit narin ng neighborhood kung saan ginagawa ang pantry dahil nga naging abala na ang mahabang pila nito.
“Mas mabuti pa nga ngayon iyon idea na gawin na lang house to house ang distribution. Sayang iyon magandang idea, iyon essence na parang honesty store na kumuha ka lang ng kailangan mo, at magbigay ka ayon sa kakayahan mo.
“Sana maayos ito, huwag sana mahinto iyon magandang bayanihan na sinimulan ng isang genius, at binabalak sirain ng mga idiots. Good work, good results. Sana tuloy tuloy pa,” Lolit posted on Instagram.
