Ethel Booba spoke to KAMI about the changes in her life and career in the past year.
According to Ethel, being a first-time mommy to her daughter, Michaela, made her a better person.
She was able to stop her alcoholism and excessive partying because she now prioritizes her child.
“Nabago ang buhay ko in a way, na hindi na ako uminom ng alak. Alam naman ng mga friends ko na alcoholic ako.
“Mas priority ko na ang bata sa lahat. Kumbaga may direction na ang buhay ko ngayon, dati puro walwal,” Ethel told KAMI.
The comedienne also spoke about her YouTube vlog, which has over 900,000 subscribers now. She said that vlogging makes her happy because she is able to entertain people, promote tourism, and help her celebrity friends through her YouTube channel. Ethel is also glad that people can see her journey as a first-time mother through her vlog.
“Fulfilling para sa akin, yung nakakatulong ako sa tourism at natutulungan ko din yung mga kasamahan ko sa trabaho na walang trabaho ngayon at pinupush ko rin sila na gumawa ng sarili nilang youtube channel at pakikipag collab sa kanila, bilang tulong na rin sa pagpupush ng mga channels nila.
“super happy ako Pag Alam ko na maraming natutuwa sa akin sa mga pakulo ko sa YouTube, fulfilling part, yung nakikita nila ako as a mother kay Michaela,” Ethel said.

In a previous report by KAMI, Ethel shared that her baby girl was baptized in a Catholic parish. The baptism was held at the Columban Church in Olongapo City, Zambales and it was attended by close family members and friends.
The comedienne also showed her sense of humor by showing the “fruit” of her vlogging. She pranked her viewers by pretending that she was able to buy a resort through her YouTube earnings.
