Yam Concepcion is one happy actress now because aside from getting a starring role in the sexy drama TV series “Init sa Magdamag,” her long desire to have Gerald Anderson as leading man has been fulfilled.

While it took 9 years for her fantasy to be realized, the actress is still very much happy.
In 2012, during an interview with host Boy Abunda, the then 24-year old Yam Concepcion was asked who she desires the most to be her leading man in case she is given a chance to do a teleserye on ABS-CBN.
At the time, the actress was promoting her debut movie, “Rigodon,” which is a sexy thriller and directed by Erik Matti.
Without hesitation, Yam answered “Gerald Anderson.”
That was nine years ago and today, the actress is seeing her fantasy turn into a reality with “Init sa Magdamag,” a sexy drama TV series that is aired on ABS-CBN.
Despite the “womanizer tag” of the netizens on the actor and their warning to be careful of him, Yam said she is having none of that.
“Nababasa ko ‘yung mga comments. Nakakatawa at nakakatuwa na makita ‘yung reaction nila. Nakakatawa kasi sabi ng mga netizens, ‘O, Yam, magi-ingat ka kay Gerald, ah!’ Iyon ‘yung mga nababasa ko,” Yam revealed while laughing their warnings off.

Lorraine May Concepcion, better known as Yam Concepcion, is a Filipina film and television actress known for her role in the sexy thriller movie Rigodon directed by Erik Matti. She was born on May 27, 1988, and she rose to fame on the 2013 daytime television series Dugong Buhay alongside Ejay Falcon and Arjo Atayde. Yam graduated high school at Assumption College San Lorenzo. She finished a degree in Multimedia Arts at College of Saint Benilde.

Yam, aside from her shocking revelation about her desire to have Gerald as leading man, can also be brutally frank sometimes. In a recent live interview with her "Init Sa Magdamag" co-stars; Gerald Anderson and JM De Guzman, Markus Paterson, one of the hosts, asked the three what it was like working with each other. This prompted Gerald to ask Yam to answer first which the actress did, describing Gerald and JM as her co-actors. However, everyone was caught off guard when Yam suddenly cursed JM during the live show.
She also revealed she mourned Claire Dela Fuente’s death. Claire means a lot to Yam since the veteran singer was the one who discovered her. Additionally, the actress revealed that Claire called her on the phone before she died to congratulate her.
