Claire Dela Fuente’s death at the age of 63 shocked the Filipino nation and made a lot of celebrities sad.
KAMI learned that one of the celebrities grieving over Claire’s death is Kapamilya star Yam Concepcion.

According to Yam, Claire means a lot to her since the veteran singer was the one who discovered her and helped her become a VIVA talent.
Yam also revealed that Claire called her on the phone before she died to congratulate her on her new ABS-CBN teleserye, “Init sa Magdamag.”

“Nung nagsisimula ako, yung naka-discover sa akin si tita Claire Dela Fuente and alam niyo naman yung nangyari sa kanya ngayon.
“Nakakagulat eh. Sobrang sudden yung nangyari. Nung Sunday tumawag pa siya sa akin. Sabi niya sa akin, ‘Yam, napanuod ko na yung trailer ng Init Sa Magdamag. Congratulations.’ Four minutes lang yun sa telepono. So sabi ko, ‘Thank you, tita Claire.’
“Hindi ko naman in-expect na bigla na lang siya mawawala. So itong project na ito para din sa kanya. Gusto ko lang siya i-recognize dahil kung hindi dahil sa kanya wala ako dito ngayon. So, this is for tita Claire. May her soul rest in peace,” Yam shared during the virtual mediacon for her new ABS-CBN teleserye, "Init sa Magdamag."
