KAMI learned that during the interview, Ellen revealed that her mother, Miriam Go, is happy that her daughter is now engaged to Derek.
According to Ellen, her mother might have gotten surprised by the news because she used to tell her before that she had no plans of getting married.
“I know she’s really happy because I’m always talking to her and telling her na ‘wag na kayong umasa na magpakasal ako,’ kasi I really don’t want to get married and if ever na magpakasal ako, hindi niyo na malalaman. Uuwi na lang ako with the husband,” Ellen told Cinema News home edition, as quoted by PUSH.

Derek also revealed in the interview that Ellen’s mother asked him if he is absolutely sure of marrying Ellen because she could not return her after they get married.
“Sabi niya ‘Sure ka? No return, no exchange ha,’” Derek shared.

Earlier, the Manila Bulletin reported about Ellen’s comment that she will not be able to forgive Derek if he cheats on her. As for Derek, he said that he will never cheat on his fiancée.
In the same Q&A, Ellen said that John Lloyd Cruz is a responsible father to their child, Elias. The actress went on and said that their son needs his father as much as he needs her as his mother, as reported by GMA News.
