A story of a young woman whose husband died while she gave birth to their second child has recently gone viral online.

On April 16, Friday, KAMI learned that the viral story was shared by Father Marlito G. Ocon SJ, the head chaplain of the Philippine General Hospital or PGH.

"A young pregnant Mother X brought herself alone to PGH ER when she started to labor. She left her husband at home because of fever and coughing but they never thought it was COVID," he wrote.

However, it was soon revealed that they were indeed positive from COVID-19, "Upon arrival in PGH and after delivering her baby, both were found + of COVID-19.

"While she and her baby were still fighting and struggling for life, news broke out that her husband died of COVID at home. What a tragedy!"

Father Marlito then went on to share that yesterday, when the woman was about to be discharged, she briefly shared about the ordeal she was facing to him.

"But she was about to be discharged yesterday, sabi niya, "Ang lungkot Father, wala na akong asawa mauwian, abo na ang asawa ko.

"Di man lang kami nagkausap, di ko man lang maibalita na may 2nd baby na kami, di man lang sila nagkita ng anak namin."

At the end of his post, Father Marlito admitted that he was at a loss for words over what happened, "I can't say anything, I have no words because I know that any word/s can't explain enough why horrible things like this happened.

"But I realized that it is in our deep, deep silence and it is when we run out of words, and when theology can't explain enough, that our faith can speak louder. Be strong, and keep your faith stronger!"
