Kapuso comedienne Maey Bautista expressed her desire to be Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto’s girlfriend, and perhaps eventual wife.
She revealed this during a one-on-one interview with actress Coney Reyes, the mom of Vico Sotto.

During the interview where Maey was asking Coney about the lessons she learned during the pandemic, she suddenly asked if Mayor Vico would like her type.
“Matataypan po kaya ako ni Vico?” Maey suddenly asked. “Matataypan na ano?” Coney immediately retorted with a face of a concerned mother that shows incredulity, perhaps wondering if Maey is joking or not.
“Na maging jowa!” Maey replied. “Ang pag-iisip n’ya ngayon tungkol sa pandemya e. Malay natin,” Coney gamely answered.
Maey then told the veteran actress that she prepared a resume for Vico to read.
“Pakibigay na lang po sana, baka pwede pong i-approve n’yo na,” Maey asked while handing over the document to Coney.
Instead of taking the papers, Coney just stared with a mother’s face showing disapproval with her arms folded in front of her.
At this, Maey set aside the document and appeared to get the message of Coney’s face. “I think actions speak louder than voice,” the comedienne said.
Coney just laughed asking: “Ano yun? Ano daw?” At this point, Maey changed the topic to Coney’s TV soaps.

Maey Bautista, also known by many as Maey B, is a Filipino journalist, actress and comedian. She is best known in Day Off, May Tamang Balita, AHA!, Judith in I Heart Davao and DJ Mema in Destined to be Yours. On the other hand, Constancia Angeline Reyes Nubla, better known as Coney Reyes, is a Filipino film and television actress, comedian, television host and producer. She was born on May 27, 1954 and made her movie debut in the 1975 film Return of the Dragon. From then on, she became a famous actress and increased her popularity when she did hosting stints at noontime variety shows Student Canteen (1975–1982) and Eat Bulaga! from 1982 to 1991.

In the same month last year, Coney aired her thoughts regarding the possibility for son Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto to run for a higher position. In an interview at the time, Coney said she is not afraid if Vico will opt for a higher post in the Philippine politics. According to her, she knows that God will always give her son wisdom and everything he will need to fulfill his destiny. The actress also felt very proud of Vico because of his proactive initiatives amid COVID-19 outbreak.
Coney also proved that even if Vico is already a grown up and is performing excellently as Pasig’s local chief executive, she is still his mother. Last year, she posted a lovely and heartwarming message for Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto to mark his 31st birthday. She posted several photos of Vico Sotto, from the time that he was still like a toddler until he got a bit older. There was also one photo, which showed the very popular mayor when he was still a teenager standing next to the great Michael Jordan. The series of photos just showed how close Mommy Coney and Mayor Vico really are.
