It would seem that all is set for the highly-anticipated marriage of Derek Ramsay and Ellen Adarna after the actor posted a photo showing how happy his Mom was in having the actress as a fiancée.

Derek posted a series of photos of the engagement and in one of them, Ellen and the actor’s mom can be seen tightly hugging each other.
In the case of Ellen, her manner of hug appears to convey the message that she is finally home and is very happy to be in that place and situation.
For Derek’s mom, her hug seems to express that she is very glad to have Ellen as her soon-to-be daughter-in-law.
To show everyone how important the photo was, Derek captioned it with: “Two of the most important women in my life!”
While the two must have known each other for some time, being in the same industry together, it was not until January 11 that photos of them being together surfaced.
It was shared on social media by fellow actress Ruffa Gutierrez. Although the two were part of a big group that gathered for dinner, one would notice the extra attention Derek and Ellen gave to each other.
On February 24, the actor admitted that he had a crush on Ellen and on March 4, the couple indicated they are celebrating their first monthsary, suggesting they were already a couple before that.
Before reaching their second monthsary, Derek popped the big question and Ellen happily accepted, with the latter posting her engagement ring on social media and captioning it with “Game over.”

Derek Arthur Paggao Ramsay, Jr., better known as Derek Ramsay, is the son of a Filipina mother and British father. He was born in Enfield, England on December 7, 1976, but he spent most of his adult life in Cainta, Rizal, Philippines. Ellen Meriam Go Adarna, or simply Ellen Adarna, on the other hand, is a Filipino actress born on April 2, 1988. She is the only daughter of a Filipina-Chinese mom and Filipino father. Their family owns several hotels and condominiums. They also own Queensland, the chain of motels in Cebu with branches in Davao and Manila.

Derek’s 17-year-old son, Austin, from former wife Mary Christine Jolly also expressed happiness at his father’s new-found romance. On his Instagram Stories, Austin shared a post congratulating Derek and Ellen Adarna. This was after the actress announced that she is now engaged to the Kapuso hunk.
Not everyone appears convinced, however, as some netizens speculated that the reason for the sweet display of their romance is due to an upcoming film or drama project. Derek could not help but respond to the comment and completely shut down any speculations regarding his relationship with Ellen.
