Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto put an end to rumors that he plans to settle down as soon as the pandemic is over.

Recently, social media was ablaze with talks about the young and handsome mayor of Pasig City planning to settle down once the health crisis has ended.
Rumors also indicate that the young mayor is asking netizens for help in looking for a girl, and also laid down his preferences when it comes to a girl. It is said that Mayor Vico prefers a social worker.
It turned out that the talks stemmed from a Twitter post, with the young mayor’s photo on it, along with a caption that he is looking for a girl, whom he will marry after the pandemic.
“Girls, maga-aasawa ako after this pandemic. Gusto ko sana social worker, baka may kilala kayo ipaalam agad sakin,” the post stated.
Mayor Vico himself called out the post and called it fake. “Fake quote,” the mayor posted on Twitter on Tuesday night in response to a netizen who was trying to fact-check a post.
In the past, he was also asked about romantic matters back in 2019. When asked if he was looking for a romantic partner, he simply said that he had no time for such things.

Victor Ma. Regis "Vico" Nubla Sotto is a young Filipino politician who is currently serving as the 20th Mayor of Pasig City in Metro Manila. He was born on June 17, 1989 to actor Vic Sotto and actress Coney Reyes. He first entered politics when he ran for a seat on the Pasig City Council in 2016. He won the election as an independent and served a term in the city council. He joined the Aksyon Demokratiko party and was elected mayor of Pasig in 2019 with a platform focused on public consultation, data-driven governance, and universal health care in the city, which prioritizes housing programs, easier access to education, and cracking down on corruption.

In February, Mayor Vico was named as one of the 12 International Anticorruption Champions. The said recognition was awarded by the US Department of State under the Biden Administration. The young Pasig City chief is the only Filipino among the awardees recognized for their tireless work to combat corruption.
Recently, the young mayor gave an update on his quarantine status. He had to undergo a 14-day quarantine because his personal driver, Kuya Vener, recently died of COVID-19. Last night, the Pasig Mayor said that he was on his last night of quarantine. Sotto explained that he still had to undergo quarantine even after testing negative for COVID-19 due to the DOH’s guidelines. He also told the employees of the local government of Pasig that they still have to avoid face-to-face meetings.
