- Edu Manzano is fond of sharing hilarious memes on his Instagram page
- On Thursday, March 25, the actor shared a meme showing a woman and a kangaroo
- One netizen, however, criticized the meme and said it perpetuates misogyny
- Edu calmly replied to the netizen to explain that the meme can also be addressed to men
Edu Manzano recently shared a meme that triggered one netizen to criticize his post.
The meme he reposted indirectly describes women as "cute and look harmless but they are loud, incredibly expensive to keep, and absolutely untrainable."
“Do I sound bitter?!?!?!” Edu captioned.
He furthermore clarified, “You can say the same about men!”
However, the netizen commented that his post is perpetuating misogyny.
“Wow! I do admire you but memes like this just keep perpetuating the misogyny of women just being themselves. Untrainable? Why would you want to train and control someone you love? Sorry if I’m taking it seriously. I wish these jokes were not around. Bata pa ako ganito na. Ngayong matanda na ako, women have made so much progress, ganito pa rin. Hayz”
To this Edu replied, “If you read the post it says the same can be said of men. You can photoshop and put a man instead.”
A few moments after he responded to the netizen, the actor deleted his post from his Instagram page. Here’s the screenshots of the meme and Edu’s conversation with the netizen:
