Senator Manny Pacquiao said in a recent video from Philippine Star's Facebook page, "Ang pagiging presidente ay destiny na kaloob ng Dios." Amidst the gossip that he has plans to run for presidency in the election in 2022, the renowned boxer has said nothing to confirm or deny the rumor.

Instead, the boxing legend shared what he wants from the next Philippine President.

"Ngunit ang hangad ko sa susunod na magiging presidente ay tunay na malasakit at tunay na pagmamahal sa mamamayang Pilipino."

He also expressed his feelings regarding "political colors".

Before Manny's video was posted online, Senator Panfilo Lacson claimed that the legendary sports icon intends to run for presidency in a video interview with journalist Karen Davila for ABS-CBN News.

Karen Davila clarified Senator Lacson's statement and asked, "May plano? May planong tumakbong presidente?" Lacson responded, "Yeah, that early, that early."

"So your confirming this?" Karen Davila asked again and the senator replied, "I think this was late last year. Yeah, sinabi naman niya."
