Manny Pacquiao opposes PDP-Laban's move urging Duterte to run for VP in 2022

- Sen. Manny Pacquiao is the the head of the ruling party PDP-Laban in the senate

- Being the chairman of the party, he held a press conference, where he stated that they should focus on the problems of the country and not on politics

- He expressed his opposition to the resolution that was issued by his party, which urged Pres. Rodrigo Duterte to run for vice president in the 2022 elections

- Pacquiao then issued a directive saying that as President of their party, he has the responsibility to enforce rules, thereby urging everyone to focus more on the opportunity to serve instead of focusing other things amid the pandemic

Sen. Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao issued a directive to all his partymates under the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban). The directive was addressed to all the officers and members of the party.

He said that only when they are united can they stand strong and weather any storm.

He said that they should lead by example and that they know their priorities, that they are aware of the needs of their constituents.

Hence, he called upon all party members to focus on the opportunity to serve their countrymen.

Also, that there will be a time for politics, but for now, the lives and well-being of the people should be their utmost priority.

The directive was issued after the party, without his knowledge, issued a resolution that urged Pres. Rodrigo Duterte to run for Vice President in the 2022 elections.

Emmanuel "Manny" Dapidran Pacquiao is a Filipino professional boxer and now a politician. He is a Senator of the Philippines and the party president of the PDP–Laban party. One of his sons, Jimuel Pacquiao seemed to also show a love for boxing.

Manny Pacquiao was aware of the decision of the World Boxing Association (WBA) regarding his title. He and his team have yet to issue a formal statement about the much-talked-about announcement. However, the Filipino champ uploaded a photo of him hours after being stripped of his world title. Many netizens immediately reacted after seeing the picture that Manny posted on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Jimuel Pacquiao, the eldest son of Manny and Jinkee Pacquiao, celebrated his 20th birthday on February 6. On his special day, Jimuel was stunned to receive a birthday surprise from his rumored girlfriend, Arabella Del Rosario.

It can be recalled that the two sparked romance rumors back in 2020 after they shared sweet photos together online. Aside from this, celebrity couple Barbie Imperial and Diego Loyzaga were also spotted at Jimuel's birthday party.
