Efren ‘Bata’ Reyes is currently the talk of the town after authorities caught him participating in an unsanctioned game of billiards in Laguna.

According to a report by DZBB posted by GMA News Online, Reyes was allegedly arrested for playing the said sports in San Pedro amid implementation of health protocols due to the ongoing pandemic.

The 66-year-old Billiards Legend is a senior citizen, which means he is not allowed to go outside of his home unless for essential activities.

Laguna provincial police spokesperson Lt. Col. Chitadel Gaoiran then clarified on Sunday, March 14, that Reyes was not arrested in the raid.

In a report by Tribune, Gaoiran said in a text message that Filipino Pool Icon was only taken to the barangay hall where officials spoke to him.

“Di naman po inaresto. Dinala sa barangay pero kinausap lang kasi ang daming nanonood eh nawawala na ang social distancing,” the spokesperson clarified.
