Beth Tamayo and her American partner Adam Hutchinson recently announced they finally tied the knot after almost a year and a half of being together.
Her husband Adam, who worked for Google, posted a photo of him and the actress along with the caption, “We did a thing today. I would like to introduce you to my wife.” As expected, congratulatory messages poured in for the Hutchinson couple.
Past interviews with Beth Tamayo-Hutchinson revealed that the actress met Adam in San Francisco through a common friend. Before she met him, however, the life of the “Anak ng Pasig” co-star is not all roses and chocolates.
Her previous marriage with a rich Chinese businessman failed and she was forced to escape the country because she and her family were receiving death threats through text messages.
When she arrived in the US, the actress took on a new role, this time of an ordinary person, far from the glitz and glamor she was used to. At the time, the actress was just trying to make both ends meet.
In several interviews that Beth managed to accommodate, she recalled her experience babysitting the two kids of a Colombian family, working as cashier in a Victoria’s Secret store, server, maître d', and many other odd jobs she could take just to survive. The actress called the experience “very humbling.”
Later, Beth narrated she applied and was accepted for an office job at the Government of Singapore Investment (GSI) in New York. The actress was then transferred to the San Francisco branch of the bank.
It was at this city she met Adam Hutchinson, her soon-to-be husband. In an interview on the show of Paolo Contis, “Just In,” the former actress talked at length about Adam, how they met, and how they are as a couple.
“We were both invited to a party. And then I met him there. Okey naman. He was like two years younger. I’m still older. Nakakaloka, ‘di ba? Walang kasing edad ko o mas matanda sa akin na manliligaw sa akin,” Beth said.
According to the actress, she and Adam started as friends and became officially a couple since March of 2017. Two years later, on October 13, 2019, Beth said Adam proposed to her right after they completed the Chicago Marathon. "He's good, he's great!" she said.
When asked during the interview about a month ago, the former movie star revealed there are wedding plans but she would prefer to keep it simple. “We'll do lang a city hall wedding. Alam mo naman, I've been there, done that, doing the big wedding,” the actress said, adding that it is the most practical at this time of the pandemic.
She said they planned to stream their wedding online through a Zoom conference so their families and friends can join them in the joyous occasion. “It's just a matter of us getting married and then we'll have our friends and family watch it or like view it on Zoom okay na kami doon,” Beth explained back then.
Today, all their wedding plans have come to fruition with that simple, yet meaningful announcement on IG. Congratulations!
