Ysabel Ortega goes emotional for landing Jamie Robinson role in ‘Voltes V'

Ysabel Ortega cried upon learning that she was chosen to play the role of Jamie Robinson, one of the lead characters of the upcoming Kapuso live-action series “Voltes V: Legacy”.

The young actress did not found out about the good news in a plain, simple way. The director of the series, Mark Reyes, summoned Ysabel and told her that they got a problem.
"We have a problem kasi you didn't do well in the audition," he said.
Ysabel was seen with worry on her face upon hearing the director’s remark. However, she did not expect what she heard next.
"But you did very well. Congratulation you are now Jamie Robinson," Mark continued.

It was reported that the Kapuso actress could not hide her tears when she received the good news.
As announced on “24 Oras” on February 10, Ysabel will be among the cast of the newest series. The other actors to complete the Voltes V team are Miguel Tanfelix, who will be Steve Armstrong, Radson Flores is Mark Gordon, Matt Lozano will be Big Bert Armstrong, and Raphael Landicho is Little Jon Armstrong.

Jamie Robinson is the only female member of the Voltes V team. Aside from coming from a line of ninjas, she is the daughter of Commander Robinson, one of the characters who help the team on many occasions. Being the only girl, Ysabel’s character is also considered to be the “voice of reason”, especially whenever Steve and Mark get into conflicts.

Ysabel Ortega is the daughter of Senator Lito Lapid and former singer-actress Michelle Ortega. Before she transferred to GMA-7 in 2019, she became part of several shows in ABS-CBN, including “Pusong Ligaw”.
The upcoming series “Voltes V: Legacy” will not only be Ysabel’s big break. This will also be the first project that Miguel Tanfelix will be having without his long-time love team partner, Bianca Umali.
In a previous report by KAMI, Miguel revealed that he is content and happy with his decision to go solo for now. His tandem with Bianca began to disintegrate after the actress was linked to another Kapuso actor, Ruru Madrid. The two are rumored to be in a relationship already.
