Right after Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana issued a letter and unilaterally terminated the UP-DND accord, which prohibits state forces from entering UP campuses all over the Philippines, a photo of now Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque has gone viral.
The photo showed Roque raising a sign that says "UP FIGHT."

Simultaneous to the publication of the letter, the hashtag #DefendUP trended on Twitter.
The netizen who posted the photo asked, "Nasaan kayo to #DefendUP?"

Aside from Roque, other politicians who also had the sign were Sen. Migz Zubiri and Sen. Nancy Binay.

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana unilaterally abrogated the decades-old accord between the Department of National Defense and the University of the Philippines. Lorenzana sent a letter to UP President Danilo Concepcion saying that by reason of national security and safety of the students, it is terminating the existing DND-UP agreement signed on June 30, 1989.
UP President Danilo Concepcion, Vice President Leni Robredo, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, Sen. Risa Hontiveros, Sen. Antonio Trillanes, and celebs like Agot Isidro and Frankie Pangilinan condemned the said act.
In a previous report by KAMI, some prominent personalities also took to social media to contradict President Rodrigo Duterte’s recent speech. The President earlier addressed claims that his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, will run for the presidency in the 2022 election. In a statement during the inauguration of Skyway 3, he expressed that the presidency is not for women. Celebrities like Angelica Panganiban, Karen Davila, and Agot Isidro then contradicted the said statement.
