Exclusive: Barbie Imperial discusses falling in love with Diego Loyzaga

Barbie Imperial spoke with KAMI about her much-talked-about romance with actor Diego Loyzaga.
According to Barbie, she decided to announce their relationship to the public because she is proud of the love they have.

“The last time I posted a guy I really like was noong 2018 pa po, I told myself before na hindi na muna ako magpopost if magkaroon ako ng bagong guy kasi baka hindi naman magtagal or baka makaapekto sa career ko..
"But yung saamin po ni Diego, I was sure I wanted to show the world kung sino yung taong nagpapasaya sakin. But we’re really happy, we really feel na everyone’s happy for us, lalo yung mga taong mahal namin, our families & friends.. and I think yun naman yung importante,” Barbie told KAMI.
The actress also revealed that she and Diego had been friends since 2018 but a romantic relationship did not develop between them back then because they were not yet mentally and emotionally in the right place.
In 2020, she started realizing how much she cares for Diego during their trip to a beach with other friends.
“We were friends even before pa po. 2018 magkaibigan na kami. Nung nawala si Diego, I still text him, I still greet him a happy birthday. We know each other’s stories, kahit hindi kami ganoon kaclose noon, gusto ko talaga friends lang kami. I wasnt at my best last 2018, I knew hindi ako para kay Diegs so we stayed friends.
“But 2020, we were better people, we saw each other again and iba yung feeling. It wasnt planned, it just happened talaga. We went to the beach with our friends and bigla bigla nalang inaabutan ko na sya ng vitamins and I felt like, woah I care for this person so much. And that’s how it started,” she shared.

Furthermore, Barbie also discussed the things she likes the most in her boyfriend.
“He’s a sweet guy. He’s really nice. He loves my family,” the star explained.

Barbie Imperial is an actress who rose to stardom when she became part of the “Pinoy Big Brother: 737”. With her dollface, she was called the “Doll along the Riles of Albay”. The “Araw Gabi” afternoon series with JM de Guzman was considered to be one of her biggest breaks yet.
In a previous report by KAMI, Diego’s mother showed support for his relationship with Barbie. Teresa Loyzaga advised Barbie and Diego to always protect and love each other because they both deserve to be happy.
The actress also went viral after she hinted at getting cheated on years ago. However, Barbie Imperial did not mention the name of the person who cheated on her.
