Pinressure daw sila! Lawyer of Dacera's friends claim pressure from PNP compelled them to cry "drúgs"

- The lawyer of the five respondents in Christine Dacera's case claimed that they were pressured by the Makati police to say there were drúgs involved

- Atty. Abi Portugal, the lawyer of the five respondents, stated that the insinuation on the "powder issue" came from the PNP

- She also said that the two detained respondents were tortured and that there was a misrepresentation

- She also said that her clients had a drúg test and the results turned up negative

The lawyer of the five respondents on Christine Dacera's case revealed that there was pressure from the Makati Police to have her clients insinuate about the "powder drúg" issue.

According to Portugal, in CNN's report, "the powder issue insinuating drúg use actually came from the mouths of PNP Makati police."

She further stated that the two detained were subjected to torture, albeit, there was no mention as to who underwent such.

The five clients of Portugal were Rommel Galido, Valentine Rosales, Gregorio de Guzman, JP dela Serna, and Clark Rapinan.

Inquirer noted that they were allegedly pressured to say something about "drúgs" that led to Dacera's death.

Friends of Christine Dacera gave an interview to ABS-CBN and recounted how good their friend really was. One of her friends, Andrei Barretto, candidly recalled his last conversation with Christine on New Year's Eve on IG. Andrei said that he replied to her story and that while he told Christine that he was at home, she told him that she booked a room with friends. When Andrei told her, baka "mapano ka dyan," she replied that it's negative because her companions were "mas babae pa" than her.

Expert forensic pathologist Dr. Raquel Fortun explained that it would be very unusual for a young individual to die of rupture aortic aneúrysm and mentioned that the common cause of such is high blood pressure. She added that it is hard to connect drugs or intoxication and thoracic aneúrysm but noted that it would have been best if blood and urine samples were taken from Dacera for toxicology.

Fortun also noted that based on the autopsy report, there was no sign of rape because she said, seeing spermatozoa is inconclusive of rape and added on zooming in on the possibility of drugs causing death.
