Iza Calzado shared her reflections on the year 2020 and said that she was humbled down in many ways.

On December 31, before 2020 ended, the “Ang Sa Iyo ay Akin” actress posted on Instagram a photo of her writing some journal while in bed. What makes the post special is her long caption that talks about her realizations from her experiences in the previous year.

Iza was among the first celebrities who got infected by the COVID-19 virus in the Philippines early in 2020. After battling with the coronavirus and being able to recover fully, the experience taught her many lessons, as she would tell in her post.

According to the A-list actress, the year 2020 humbled her and she is thankful for it.

“Reflecting on the year 2020 and how it brought me down to my knees. Humbled in so many ways and grateful to be so.” she started.

Iza said that in the previous year, she learned that every breath is a blessing so it should make her love herself more.

“This year, I was taught that every breath is a blessing.
“So while I am alive, I will love myself more so that I can truly love and understand others.”

She also committed to press on aligning her dreams and aspirations with her higher purpose. For her, she should value the gift of time given to her.
