Rossel Taberna, the wife of journalist Anthony Taberna, posted on Instagram to express her heartbreak and hope amidst the new ordeal in her life.
KAMI learned that Rossel posted about the finance head of their business that allegedly stole around a million pesos from them.

According to Ka Tunying’s wife, she feels pain for their employees and their families because they have been negatively affected by the alleged theft.
However, she promised that she and Anthony will bounce back and be stronger than ever. She said that the messages of support from netizens have also inspired their family to continue fighting.

“Because of the constant reminder of my husband, I have learned to see the good in every situtation no matter how hard and painful it is.
“Subok na subok na namin yan lalo na sa taong ito. Difficulties came in a row. The most throbbing one involves our daughter, Zoey. Pero mahihiya ang pagsubok sa pamilya namin cos we never let it consume us. We never falter, instead we make use of it to make us even stronger. We give our full trust in Him and when we pray, we already claim that it will be given to us.
“During the time when Zoey bravely posted her shaved hair and shared her battle with the big C, another MAJOR hurdle came. We found out that our trusted Finance Head has been stealing huge amout of money from our dearest food business. Sobrang sakit na lahat ng pinaghihirapan ng bawat miyembro ng Ka Tunying’s family ay nilulustay lamang ng isang taong nasilaw sa pera at mga materyal na bagay.
“Pero sobrang bait talaga ng Ama. Noong mga panahong yon at hanggang sa ngayon, bumuhos ang mga mensahe at panalangin ng LAHAT para sa aming anak na si Zoey. Naibsan ang panghihina at kawalan namin ng pagasa sapagkat nakita namin kung gaano kadami ang nagmamahal at nagmamalasakit sa amin. The situation reminded us of how BLESSED we are.
“Panibagong pagsubok. Para kaming nagsisimula ulit BUT WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP. Mula sa panaderya sa maliit na probinsiya hanggang sa mapadpad kami sa Maynila sa pagsali sa mga bazaars at unti- unti makapundar ng cafe turned full- service restaurant today, mahirap man pero d kami papayag na mawalan ng trabaho ang isang daang kapamilya naming umaasa sa amin.
“This stumbling block fuels us even more to work harder not only for our selves but for all the good people who’s been with us from day one,” Rossel posted on Instagram.

Anthony Taberna, also known as Ka Tunying, is a well-known journalist and radio commentator in the Philippines. He is best known for his radio program Dos Por Dos and Umagang Kay Ganda.
In a previous report by KAMI, Anthony had to transfer to DZRH from DZMM due to the shutdown of ABS-CBN on television and radio. Bianca Gonzalez, Karen Davila and Amy Perez were among the celebrities who congratulated Anthony on his transfer to DZRH.
On a more light-hearted note, Anthony went viral months ago due to Amy Perez’s blooper on “Umagang Kay Ganda.” Amy apologized for photobombing news anchor Anthony Taberna during his interview segment.
