Anthony Taberna’s wife, Rossel Taberna, took to social media to discuss her eldest daughter Zoey’s battle with leukemia.
KAMI learned that Rossel felt guilty and blamed herself for not seeing the signs of Zoey’s illness sooner.

Fortunately, her husband comforted her and assured her that she is not to blame for the illness. She also praised Zoey for remaining strong and positive despite having a severe illness.
Lastly, Rossel revealed that Zoey is already through the first year of her treatment and has two more years to go.

“A year ago when you were diagnosed with Leukemia, I was so scared and regretful. I cannot help but blame myself. Bakit hindi ko nalaman sooner? Why didn’t I noticed your abrupt weight-loss? I felt so guilty for being extra busy and I know in my heart, kasalanan ko.
“But I am also blessed with a very loving and supportive husband. He would always remind me that it’s no ones fault and that we are just facing a major life challenge.
“Takot na takot ako, Atch pero napakatapang mo. You don’t even complain and it hurts me even more. Kahit alam ko na masakit na masakit, you tried to stay calm because you didn’t want us to worry. Ni ayaw mo kami gisingin ni Daddy mo pag madaling araw when you want to pee dahil ayaw mo kami maabala. Cos you know we’re always tired. Sobrang bait mo, anak…
“1 year down 2 more years to go for your complete healing, Atchi. Mahal na mahal ka naming,” Rossel posted on Instagram.

Anthony Taberna, also known as Ka Tunying, is a well-known journalist and radio commentator in the Philippines. He is best known for his radio program Dos Por Dos and Umagang Kay Ganda.
In a previous report by KAMI, Anthony had no choice but to transfer to DZRH from DZMM due to the shutdown of ABS-CBN on television and radio. Bianca Gonzalez, Karen Davila and Amy Perez were among the celebrities who congratulated Anthony on his transfer to DZRH.
On a more light-hearted note, Anthony went viral months ago due to Amy Perez’s blooper on “Umagang Kay Ganda.” Amy apologized for photobombing news anchor Anthony Taberna during his interview segment.
