Korean celebrities express heartbreak over comedian Park Ji-sun’s death

Park Ji-sun, a well-known comedian in South Korea, and her mother were found dead in their house on Monday.
Authorities are still investigating but are considering the possibility that both Park and her mother committed suicide.
KAMI learned that several South Korean celebrities took to social media to share their reactions to the tragic news.
SHINee’s Key expressed his regret that he was not able to show Park how much he appreciated her.
“I’m always grateful. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to express it with all my heart. I’ll pray that you’re able to rest in peace now,” he posted.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk also posted about his heartbreak over the news, saying that he hopes that Park is in a better place now.
“May she rest in peace. It’s an upsetting and sad reality that it seems that there are now more and more numbers in my phone where even if I called, it would go unanswered. I pray that you will be happy and healthy in that place,” Leeteuk said.
U-KISS’s Soohyun also shared how sad he is that Park is now gone.
“I’ve heard news that I don’t want to believe… My heart aches so much. I could never forget the way you always smiled whenever we met. Rest in peace,” he tweeted.
Hip-hop artist Hyun Jin Young opened up about how kind Park was to him during their encounters.
“Ji Sun, you’d always greet me in a welcoming way by saying ‘Ah, hello oppa [term for an older male friend or brother]’ whenever we saw each other by chance. You said you really liked my song ‘Sad Mannequin,’ and I vividly remember how you sang while doing the rabbit dance and didn’t get any of the lyrics wrong. I’m so shocked that I don’t know what I should say… Ji Sun, I’m filled with sorrow and my heart aches… Why… Please be at peace in heaven,” he wrote.

Park Ji-sun was a prominent actress and comedian in South Korea. Some of her most notable projects include Gag Concert, You Hee-yeol's Sketchbook, Star Golden Bell and Happy Together.
In a previous report by KAMI, actress Oh In-Hye was also found dead in her home. She was rushed to the hospital but the doctors were not able to save her. There were reports that In-Hye’s heart attack was caused by a suicide attempt.
Another celebrity, K-Pop star Sulli, passed away in her home in Seongnam, Gyeonggi province. Aside from being a music artist, she also found a career in acting. It was later reported that she took her life.
