- Ted Failon recently bid farewell to ABS-CBN amid the network’s much-talked-about shutdown issue
- Today, August 31, is actually his last day in the said popular broadcasting corporation
- However, the broadcast-journalist received a serious accusation from a celebrity
- Jim Paredes claimed through his remark on Twitter that Ted is a “spreader” of fake news
Ted Failon was recently accused on social media of being a “spreader” of unverified information.
KAMI learned that it was Jim Paredes who aired the serious accusation against the award-winning broadcast-journalist.
The intriguing remark of the “APO Hiking Society” member can be seen in the comments section of Karen Davila’s Twitter post about Ted.
Karen paid tribute to her fellow ABS-CBN employee who is considered as an icon in the field of journalism. However, Jim disagreed with what she said.
“Nakasama ko si Si Ted Failon ng 6 na taon sa TV Patrol noong 2004-2010. Icon sa industriya. Isa sa pinakamagaling at pinakamalalim magkomentaryo sa radyo. Saan ka man mapunta Ted, I am praying for your success. God be with you,” she wrote.
“He was a spreader of fake news. Sorry Karen. I disagree,” the singer commented.
Ted Failon is a veteran broadcast journalist in the Philippines. He served as the host of many news and current affairs programs in ABS-CBN such as “TV Patrol” and “Failon Ngayon.”
He already bid farewell to the Kapamilya network after three decades of serving. The shutdown issue of the media giant is the main reason for his decision.
On the finale episode of his investigative program, the said newscaster bravely called out the critics of ABS-CBN. He claimed that the network’s news department is exposing the truth that is why it is being silenced.
