Lani Mercado took to social media to send a message to her sick husband, Senator Bong Revilla Jr.

KAMI learned that Mercado opened up about the hardships she is facing amid her husband’s battle with COVID-19.

According to her, she is having a hard time taking care of Revilla because she could not get close to him as he needs to be isolated to stop the spread of the virus.

She added that it is also difficult to take care of her sick spouse as she also has responsibilities as the mayor of Bacoor.

“Papaano mo maipapakita ang pag-aasikaso at pag-aalaga sa iyong asawa na positive sa Covid-19? Hindi mo masamahan. Hindi mo mayakap. Hindi mo mahagkan dahilan sa kailangang mag-14 day isolation muli.

“Sabay nito’y hindi nakakaligtaan ng inyong lingkod ang mga responsibilidad bilang Ina ng Lungsod at bilang ina ng aking mga anak.

“Isama ninyo po sana sa inyong panalangin ang paggaling ni Sen. Bong Revilla at lahat ng may Covid-19. No one is spared, may katungkulan man sa bansa o wala.

“Patuloy akong magiging malakas at malusog para sa ating pamilya at bayan, Papa. Palakas ka,” Mercado posted on Facebook.

Bong Revilla is one of the incumbent Senators in the Philippines. His wife is Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado and their son is Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla.

He made headlines recently after he confirmed that he tested positive for COVID-19. The other Philippine senators who also tested positive include Miguel Zubiri and Sonny Angara.

Jolo Revilla also went viral after posting a heartfelt message for his beloved father as he battles with COVID-19.
