Several prominent personalities in the Kapuso network have reacted to the controversial closure of ABS-CBN.

KAMI learned that the Kapamilya network received an order from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to stop its operation starting May 5.

The government agency reasoned out that the legislative franchise of ABS-CBN already expired on May 4 so it cannot continue operating on television and radio.

Maine Mendoza was one of the GMA-7 artists who expressed support for her network’s rival.

She posted three heart emojis that bear the colors of the logo of ABS-CBN.

Janine Gutierrez, while not mentioning any name, also shared a statement about halting the freedom of the press.
