Danica Sotto-Pingris took to social media to express her support for her half-brother, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto.
Her post came amid her brother’s current issue with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
According to Danica, the public should heed Vico’s call to focus on their work of making the country a better place in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.
She added that we can achieve so much more as a nation if we put our differences aside to help each other instead of bringing each other down.
“Alam natin lahat na ito yung panahon na dapat mas lalo tayong magtulungang mga Pilipino. PLEASE! Isipin nalang natin kung paano natin malalagpasan ang mga pagsubok natin ngayon. Gaya nga ng sabi ni Mayor @vicosotto, ‘Let’s just work.’
“This post is not meant to encourage more people to rant and say words to offend each other. Sana maintindihan niyo. Yes, we may have our own opinions but right now what’s important is we all get through this together.
“Let’s continue to pray for our country and all our leaders. Kaya natin ito dahil din nandiyan si Lord. Isipin nalang paano natin matutulungan ang bawat isa. Goodnight,” Danica posted on Instagram.

As previously reported by KAMI, many celebrities defended Mayor Vico after he was summoned by the NBI for a supposed violation.
Vico Sotto is the son of former couple Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes. He became a household name after receiving praise as the new mayor of Pasig City.
