Ruby Rodriguez’s recent post on social media shocked everyone as she revealed the sad news about the passing of her sister, Dr. Sally Gatchalian, due to the 2019 coronavirus disease.

In an Instagram post on March 26 where she confirmed the doctor’s death, the Eat Bulaga host recollected her family’s happy memories with Dr. Sally.

Part of Ruby’s lengthy post was, “I love you so much my big sister, smile say hi to Mom Dad and manong robert. Be at peace do not worry about us anymore. Have fun in heaven! Love you so much!!!”

The post shortly received comments from famous celebrities expressing condolences over Dr. Sally’s death.

“She was my brother’s mentor. My bro is also an ID pediatrician in PGH. Condolences @rodriguezruby. Our hearts and our prayers are with you,” Gretchen Ho said.

Ruby even shared on her Instagram story a post from Gretchen’s brother, Justin Ho.

“Our condolences to the whole family...” said Judy Ann Santos, wife of Ruby’s Eat Bulaga co-host Ryan Agoncillo.

“My Condolences po Ms.Ruby at sa buong Pamilya po ninyo,” Angeline Quinto said.

“Condolence Tita. May God give you his peace and comfort,” Danica Sotto-Pingris wrote.

“Praying for your family,” Alessandra De Rossi expressed.

“Thank you Manang Sally for everything!” Dabarkads Pia Guanio said.

“Our deepest condolences Ruby,” Joey De Leon told Ruby.

“Prayers for the family roobs,” Radio and TV personality SM YG said.

“Oh no...... my heartfelt condolences to you and your family dear ruby. Rest in peace ate sally,” Arlene Muhlach wrote.

“Prayers of love and comfort to you and the family ate,” singer Aicelle Santos commented.

Pauleen Luna also remembered Dr. Sally in her Instagram story, “I love you, Manang Sally. I will never forget your selfless, your beautiful and bright personality. You brought sunshine to every room. I will never forget your kindness to my family and I. I love you.”
