Fact check: No, Vanessa Bryant did not take her own life in front of her kids

An online post has been circulating after claiming that Vanessa Bryant has taken her life in front of her kids.
However, KAMI learned that this was false and was just misleading the people.
In a report by Rappler, a website netw0rk-channel.wereblogs.com claimed that the widow of NBA legend Kobe Bryant allegedly killed herself due to depression.
"BREAKING NEWS: VANESSA BRYANT Recorded a SUICIDE VIDEO IN-FRONT of HER KIDS, After Depression this Morning,” it read in the site.
The video had a title that said: “ACTUAL Footage: Vanessa BRYANT filmed her Suicide.”
The article showed a photo of Vanessa with her name and years “1982-2020.”

Rappler reported that the news was false. No official sources have reported the death of Vanessa.
Vanessa has been actively posting on her Instagram account after the rumors about her alleged death circulated.
On February 14, Vanessa posted on Instagram about changing the name of the Mamba Sports Foundation to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation in memory of Kobe and their daughter Gianna.
The day after, Vanessa also posted a tribute to Kobe and Gianna just in time for Valentine’s Day.
