Kobe Bryant made headlines recently when he passed away in California due to a helicopter crash, which also took the life of his daughter Gianna Bryant.
The helicopter’s pilot during the crash was Ara Zobayan, who also perished in the accident.
KAMI learned that another NBA superstar, Kahwi Leonard, routinely flew with Zobayan as the pilot.
In a video interview uploaded by Showtime Forum, Leonard can be watched describing the late pilot as a great and nice guy who he considered as one of the best pilots he knew.
"[I had] flown with him a lot. Great guy. Super nice. He was one of the best pilots.
"He'll drop me off and say he was about to pick up Kobe -- 'Kobe said hello!' -- Or, he'll just be like, 'I just dropped Kobe off and he said hello!' You know, vice versa.
“He was a good dude. I'm sorry for everybody,” Leonard said.
As reported earlier by KAMI, many famous celebrities reacted to the death of Kobe and his daughter.
Kobe Bryant is considered as the greatest Los Angeles Lakers player of all time and one of the greatest basketball players in history. He won five NBA Championships, two NBA Finals MVPs, and one NBA Regular Season MVP.
