Doug Kramer and Chesca Garcia shared about their struggles with their finances in the earlier part of their marriage. They shared how they started out as couples without their own house yet.
In the latest episode of their show, “Family Matters,” Doug and Chesca revealed that they had gone through a lot before achieving success.
The couple answered questions from their eldest daughter, Kendra, who had always wondered why they moved houses every time there was a new addition to their family.
As their family gets bigger, they realized that they need a bigger space which led them to a decision to have their own house.
“We prayed about it. We only had enough for a down payment and true enough, we found a place,” Doug said.

As for Chesca, what they did was a leap of faith especially they had no properties under their name. They even had to sell Chesca's cars for their first owned home.
Doug also recounted how she had to deny Chesca to buy something for her because he wanted to stick to their goal of having their own house.
“I knew in my heart I could buy it, but it wasn’t smart to buy something yet,” he added.
“I told Mama, I said, ‘Honey, it’s very nice, but if it’s okay, not now,” said Doug. Though CHesca did not insist on buying what she wanted, Doug promised to himself that he would make it up to her.
“I sold this woman’s car to help me with the downpayment [of our house]. One day I will repay her patience.”
Doug Kramer is a Basketball Player known for his time with teams like Barako Bull Energy and the San Miguel Beermen. He was married to the actress Chesca Garcia and were blessed with three children namely, Kendra, Scarlet and Gavin.
